Zlatan Ibrahimovic has recovered from his injury and should be available for Milan’s clash against Lazio tomorrow. It’s obviously a boost for Stefano Pioli to have him on the bench and not just in the stands.
The Swede was struggling with a knee overload and missed the games against Torino, Genoa in most recently Inter. As Olivier Giroud has failed to find the back of the net since the game against Napoli in March, the Swede’s absence has been felt.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), after taking part in group training with the team at Milanello, Ibrahimovic should make the bench tomorrow. However, it remains to be seen what his condition is like after a long absence.
It’s clear, however, that his presence will be important not just for his output on the pitch, but also for his ability to motivate his teammates even when he isn’t starting. He could be a key in this season finale, therefore.
