Tuttosport: Lazio set €40m asking price as Milan continue search for a No.10

By Isak Möller -

After parting ways with Hakan Calhanoglu, Milan are looking for a new No.10 on the market and several players have been mentioned lately. The latest is Luis Alberto, who could leave Lazio this summer.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Alberto could struggle in the 4-3-3 formation that Maurizio Sarri intends to use at the club, following the departure of Simone Inzaghi. Therefore, he could ask to be sold and try his luck elsewhere.

Lazio have set a €40m asking price and although it’s a high figure, it could perhaps be bridged with a few technical counterparts (perhaps Alessio Romagnoli). For now, though, it’s just an idea for Milan in their pursuit of a No.10.

Furthermore, it will depend on Sarri and his evaluations during the pre-season. Perhaps he will find a good position for the Spaniard after all and then Lazio would be unlikely to sell. Then again, everything can happen on the market.

  1. Luis Alberto is a slow and bad player, which is why he plays in Lazio. 40 million is an inflated figure for him, this player costs 15-20 million and that is enough for him. But anyway, Milan can’t pay 40 million because only a madman can give that much money for a worn-out football player.
