Tuttosport: Ligue 1 starlet tops wish list as Milan continue search for centre-back

Taking the injury struggles into consideration, as well as the lack of quality alternatives, Milan need to bring in a centre-back next month. Pierre Kalulu, who normally is a right-back, has been forced to step in recently.

The Frenchman has done quite well, there’s no doubt about it, but the Rossoneri want to avoid a similar situation down the line. Although having both Simon Kjaer and Matteo Gabbia out is unusual, depth is needed to avoid further injuries.

In January, as reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan will try to sign a centre-back and many names have been linked with the club already. However, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have narrowed the list down to just two names.

Those are Mohamed Simakan and Ozan Kabak, with the former currently ahead in the race. Both could leave their respective clubs (Strasbourg and Schalke) next month and Milan are following the situation closely.
