Tuttosport: Milan eyeing four additions to add muscle and quality to their midfield

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are expected to undergo some changes in their midfield department this summer and they are looking to add more muscle, a report claims.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) this morning, Milan will first have to replace Franck Kessie who will leave on a free transfer to Barcelona and then Tiemoué Bakayoko should return to Chelsea thus cutting short his two-year loan.

The hottest name in terms of a new signing is Renato Sanches of Lille who should be the direct replacement for the Ivorian, and then Tommaso Pobega will return to base after his loan at Torino, so there will be some added muscle in the engine room.

The role of attacking midfielder must also be addressed by signing a player who is more robust than Brahim Diaz, and Charles De Ketelaere of Club Brugge has been identified as the ideal new playmaker.

However, it should not be forgotten that Yacine Adli will return from his loan at Bordeaux and he will be evaluated during the summer camp by Stefano Pioli, who will then decide whether to keep him in the squad or send him back out on loan.
