Tuttosport: Milan have Ajax, Fiorentina and Celtic stars on six-man wish list to fix problem area

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a number of targets on their list as they look to finally welcome a new centre-back to the club in January, a report claims.

According to Wednesday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Milan’s pursuit of a new defensive reinforcement seems to be oriented above all towards two profiles: Ozan Kabak of Schalke and Mattia Lovato of Hellas Verona. Both are 20 years of age and both cost €20m.

However, in addition to those two there are a number of other targets that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are sifting through, such as Celtic star Kristoffer Ajer and Ajax’s young sensation Perr Schuurs.

Two other profiles that cannot be discarded, even if their price currently appears to be higher than what Milan are currently willing to pay: Nikola Milenkovic of Fiorentina and Takehiro Tomiyasu of Bologna.

For the Serbia international – a player that Pioli likes a lot – Fiorentina have no intention of dropping below €40million, while the Japan international would cost €25-30m.
