Tuttosport: Milan hopeful that injured quartet will return in time to face Hellas Verona

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is hopeful of having four key players back for the game against Hellas Verona, according to a report.

After the 3-2 win against Atalanta on Sunday night – which capped off a period of seven games within 21 days – the Rossoneri squad can breathe a bit knowing club action does not return for a fortnight.

As reported this morning by Tuttosport (via MilanLive), the recovery of the injured players is proceeding on the right path and they are working at Milanello to return to the field as soon as possible.

The quartet in question who could recover fully over the break are striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Oliver Giroud plus midfielder Rade Krunic and Tiemoue Bakayoko. Pioli hopes to have them all back when he returns to the field against Verona on Saturday 16 October. In that game, Milan will look to move on to seven wins from eight to start the league season.
