Sandro Tonali agreed to lower his salary as AC Milan signed him permanently from Brescia in the summer. A decision that was very appreciated by the fans, but now the midfielder is in line for a pay rise.
The youngster has gone from strength to strength since he was signed permanently, becoming a key player for Milan. Compared to his first season with the club, he looks like a completely different player and that is nice to see.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan are evaluating a pay rise for Tonali, who currently earns €1.4m plus bonuses per season. Although the current deal will expire in 2026, it makes sense given the Italian international’s importance.
It’s not considered a priority by the Rossoneri for the time being, per the newspaper, but they will soon sit down with Tonali’s new agent (Beppe Riso) and discuss the matter. And by then, the parties should be on the same wavelength.
