Gigio Donnarumma is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and his contract will expire in the summer, which is far from ideal for Milan. Therefore, they are working hard to reach an agreement on a renewal.
The 22-year-old’s agent, Mino Raiola, is notoriously hard to deal with and the Rossoneri have certainly felt this in recent months. Despite this, as reported by Tuttosport this morning (via MilanNews), they are waiting with confidence.
An offer of €8m per year has been presented to Donnarumma and Raiola, which Milan feel is sufficient for a player of his calibre. He’s already the best-paid player in the squad (bar Ibrahimovic) and this would just increase his lead.
Therefore, Milan are waiting on a response with confidence, though things could quickly change if the answer is negative. Either way, the Rossoneri have planned for every scenario although losing Donnarumma would be a huge blow.
