Tuttosport: Not only Taremi – the multiple operations Milan are aiming to complete

By Oliver Fisher -

There are five days left until the transfer market closes, and AC Milan intend to complete multiple operations before the mercato shuts.

According to what is being reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), it is not yet known if the 10th signing for the Rossoneri will arrive, but it does look as though Alessandro Florenzi or even Daivde Bartesaghi could be employed as Theo Hernandez’s new deputy.

The real issue concerns Mehdi Taremi, who remains at the top of the list of targets, but Porto are asking for €25m and Milan have no intention of paying more than €15m plus bonuses. They hope that the player’s entourage can convince Porto to sell for less.

For the midfield, Nicolas Dominguez from Bologna still remains in the background but the Argentine would only arrive in the event of the sale of Rade Krunic, which seems highly unlikely.

Moving on to exits, Lorenzo Colombo has been promised to Monza on loan but that is closely linked to the possible entry of a new striker.

Fodè Ballo-Tourè is in Werder Bremen’s sights but a concrete offer is yet to arrive, then there’s Divock Origi who is admired by Sheffield United, though they have just signed Cameron Archer from Aston Villa.

Finally, Alexis Saelemaekers is also looking for accommodation. Bologna have enquired but they want a loan with option to buy, whereas the Rossoneri are asking for an obligation.

  1. This is what will happen:
    – Origi leaves on loan where Milan pay half his wages and comes back next year for the same circus
    – Balo toure leaves for a loan with option which they never will use so he will return.
    – Salamaekers will remain
    – We aren’t signing any strikers and Colombo stays.
    – Last but not least Krunic will remain and no midfielder will arrive.

  2. Aside Krunic, I believe the management will seal spots for the rest away from Milan. Taremi will come if the two clubs find a middle ground.

  3. I wonder if Taremi is a distraction and Furlani & Moncada have identified someone else they are working on….

Signing a 31yo just rubs me a weird way given our new parametres. Even if it’s a 3 year deal.

  4. I want to see Verratti in Milan. He has a fat salary but he will bring experience and class to our midfield. Plus he is Italian.
