Tuttosport: Pioli prepares for 800th game as a manager – his record at Milan

By Isak Möller -

Stefano Pioli will make his 800th game as a manager tomorrow, which is an important and impressive milestone. It will be his 169th game in charge of AC Milan, so let’s take a look at his record.

The 57-year-old has coached 14 senior teams in his career, starting with Salernitana back in 2003. He thus started in the second tier but since the 2010/11 season, he has been in charge of a Serie A team (not always full seasons).

It’s not exactly surprising that, as highlighted by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), he will reach 800 games tomorrow (all comps). It’s an important milestone and at Milan, he has been in charge for 168 games, winning 96, drawing 38 and losing 34 games.

Another interesting stat is that he soon will leapfrog Max Allegri (178) in the standings of the number of games as Milan’s manager. Hopefully, he will get to celebrate the 800 milestone with a win tomorrow, making it four in a row.
