Tuttosport: Pioli has one starting XI doubt for Milan’s clash against Inter

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are desperate to get a win after six games without one, currently in a full-blown crisis. The fact that their next opponent is Inter doesn’t help and Stefano Pioli is yet to decide the starting XI.

After conceding 12 goals in the last three games, Pioli has decided to switch from his usual 4-2-3-1 formation to a 4-3-3. All of the positions have more or less been decided except one, which has to do with Ismael Bennacer’s absence.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Tommaso Pobega is currently the favourite to start along with Sandro Tonali and Rade Krunic in the midfield. However, Junior Messias was also tested in that position in training and could be the big surprise.

Perhaps we will get more details on the matter during Pioli’s press conference later today, but the manager has requested discretion with regard to his selections for the game. In short, we will likely have to wait until tomorrow.
