Tuttosport: Roma, Atalanta fall behind in race for Milan midfielder – Torino on pole

By Oliver Fisher -

Torino have found themselves in pole position to land AC Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura when his contract expires, a report claims.

Bonaventura joined the Rossoneri back in 2014 and has spent over half a decade with his boyhood club, but with his deal set to expire on June 30 and no signs of an imminent renewal, it appears his San Siro days are numbered.

Atalanta, Fiorentina, Roma, Lazio and even Arsenal have all been linked with a move for the 30-year-old, while Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com) are adamant that Torino are insisting strongly on trying to sign Bonaventura.

According to an update from the same outlet on Monday (via CM), Torino are now in pole position to land the former Atalanta star.

Roma do not present a concrete option at present while his old side Atalanta are stalling on their pursuit, so the Granata are ready to make a decisive assault for the midfielder.
