Tuttosport: Two starting XI battles remain open ahead of Milan-Atalanta

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will take on Atalanta at San Siro tomorrow and after three consecutive wins, Stefano Pioli isn’t expected to make too many changes to the XI. However, there could still be a few, a report claims.

Milan have picked themselves up after a tough start to 2023 and are currently on three consecutive 1-0 wins. It’s thus understandable that Pioli doesn’t want to change too many things with regard to the starting XI and formation.

According to Tuttosport, as cited by MilanNews, there are a few battles that remain open ahead of the game. The first is obviously Ciprian Tatarusanu against Mike Maignan, with the former currently ahead by the looks of it. Maignan will undergo tests today and then a decision will be made.

On the right flank, Pioli also must decide between Junior Messias and Alexis Saelemaekers. The Brazilian is currently ahead and it makes sense since he scored the winning goal against Monza last time out.
