Tuttosport: Value of Milan star has skyrocketed as a result of recent success

By Isak Möller -

Franck Kessie has been absolutely crucial for Milan in the last few months and really throughout the whole season. Several players have been injured, but he has been the one constant figure in the team.

When the Rossoneri signed the Ivorian from Atalanta back in 2017, they were hoping for this growth and it’s clear why they made the investment. The deal cost them €30m in total: €8m for the two-year paid loan, €20m for the redemption and €2m in bonuses.

As reported by Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com), Kessie value has skyrocketed after almost four good years at the club and above all the recent success. Should Milan decide to sell, which they won’t, his price tag would be €60-70m.

Milan are focused on renewing the midfielder’s contract, which will expire in 2022. There shouldn’t be any problems as the player wants to remain, but the club want to act quickly to avoid another Donnarumm-esque situation.

  1. Kessie’s best position is a box to box midfielder which only available in 442, 4231 and 3412. I think 442 and 3412 would be the better options
