Udinese 0-4 AC Milan: Follow the action with our live commentary

AC Milan are up against Udinese at Stadio Friuli this evening and after the draw last weekend, the Rossoneri need to bounce back. Follow the action with our live commentary below.

The season has been a huge disappointment so far, despite the Supercoppa win and still being in the Coppa Italia, and things are indeed looking dire in the league. Even with a win tonight, the Rossoneri can’t exactly improve their position, four points behind Fiorentina in 8th.

Sergio Conceicao has made four changes to the starting XI, as well as a formation change, giving Luka Jovic the chance from the first minute. The three-man backline might do the trick as Theo Hernandez will have to focus less on defending, but only time will tell on that one.

Unfortunately, there is no watchalong for this one but Lorenzo and Stefano will be back towards the end of the season. You can follow the action with our live commentary below, as published on our X account.

  1. I stopped watching after the first 20 secs when Reinjders Cant score a 1v1 against the Goalie, And Theo Kicked the ball into the 3rd row.

    1. Which formation? 4-2-4? Where do you put Leao? Because unless you’ve been living under a rock until this season, Leao does not play well centrally. He’s even said he does not like playing centrally. Literally out of his own mouth. So should we sell Leao to fund a reconfiguration of the squad to 3-5-2 or also sell Reinders so we can play a proper 4-4-2 (with two real DMs)?

        1. I don’t know if we suck, so much as our players love to hold on to the ball and dribble. They’re all individualists. If Reijnders had just taken his time, maybe even taken a touch to his left toward the penalty spot, he would have scored. He’d have both posts wide open. But there is no thinking. Just heads down dribbling when a pass would have been better, and heads down shooting when a dribble or a pass would have been better. These are basics that coaching needs to take care of.

  2. 3 at the back looks surprisingly good so far. gabbia is an anchor centrally with his positioning.

I really like Jovic but starting him as a sole striker makes no sense. Guess Tammy is knocked harder than we thought

  3. We got some wind in our sails for once, hopefully we can build on it. But fearing we will revertback from the smallest mistakes, as we always do

  4. finally it happens. was just a matter of time until we start winning confidently. unfortunately too late for top4, but hopefully not too late for Sergio to stay for next season. he’s definitely able to win us a few scudetti.

    1. because the next game is in 9 days, no need to rest anyone. we need to build confidence. Barts came on, that was the only one from the bench that needs to get minutes in a lead like that (could have come few minutes earlier, i agree with that). bringing Terracciano was good to show he is still part of the team. Camarda as second striker would have made little sense in this situation.

  5. I can’t believe it took this long for the coaches to realize that the formation that best suits the type of players we have is 3-4-3. Who would have thought putting players in their best positions will make them perform better

  6. It’s almost like we didn’t have the players to properly do a 433… but let’s wait and see what we do against an actual good team

  7. A great win and we fought well throughout the match, just wish our players would turn up with such attitude in each and every match then the season would have looked a lot different than it does.
