Since the restart, Hakan Calhanoglu has been an incredible player for AC Milan, certainly cementing his spot as the trequartista in Stefano Pioli’s side. Of course, he’s happy with the manager’s renewal.
The midfielder has scored six goals and eight assists in the eleven games since the restart, finally showing his true qualities on the pitch. Of course, he has Pioli to thank for this and Milan recently renewed the manager’s contract.
In an interview with Starcasino, which was published on Milan’s youtube channel, Calhanoglu revealed that Pioli struggled with the Rangnick news. In other words, the renewal was a great relief.
“Pioli? He’s very important for me and for the squad as well. We are all happy that he renewed because it wasn’t easy for him either, due to a lot of… news, shall we say. But he’s a great professional and he only thinks about the team,” he stated.
