Antonio Vitiello has slammed the AC Milan ownership for already failing to deliver on their promise, just 12 days into the 2026-27 season rebuild.
Milan, and above all Gerry Cardinale, decided to part ways with the entire management after the final game of the season. There and there, it was made clear to a few journalists that a replacement – at least for the head coach role – would be secured in 7-10 days.

Speaking about the situation on his YouTube channel, Antonio Vitiello didn’t hold back as he criticised the Milan ownership in a sarcastic manner. In reality, while they are saying that there is no rush, things haven’t gone according to plan.
“In the meeting that Milan had with the 5-6 journalists, they said that the new coach would be decided in a maximum of 7-10 days. Now it’s been 12 days since the sacking of the management, and there is no sign of a new manager.

“We have gone from 7-10 days to an indefinite number of days. What’s the rush? They ask. It’s only June 6. Milan don’t have a management, no CEO, no sporting director, no coach. But it’s only June 6.
“The whole squad has to be rebuilt, many players are leaving, Leao continues to make statements for his personal interests. Throwing mud at the manager, the team. But for Milan, this is fine. There is no rush. It’s only June 6. There is no rush.
“In my opinion, the truth is that they thought they would have found a coach by now, much quicker than they have. This hasn’t happened because many have rejected their approaches, setting their own conditions, and so on,” he stated.

I still think the Li era was the worst. Exuberant and unsustainable spending, both sporting and financial side of things were terrible. Shady ownership. But I do agree with the sentiment otherwise

It is World Cup and this time is not the greatest, so may as well think everything through, which is happening in the background
I agree there is no rush. It is impossible to appoint a top in 12 days when all the technical management are sacked. Every coach will like to work with a technical director that trust him and vice-versa. So lets us trust the process and have patience. Something good will happen in the end. I believe. Forza Milan
