There was a lovely moment not long after the full-time whistle following AC Milan’s win over Napoli as Yacine Adli shared an exchange with Massimo Ambrosini during an interview with DAZN.
Adli started the game in a deeper midfield position once again, alongside Ismael Bennacer this time given that Tijjani Reijnders was suspended, and he drew praise for his performance.
Theo Hernandez’s first halff goal was enough to earn all three points as Milan opened up a 17-point gap over Napoli and kept up the pressure on the teams above them, while also keeping a big gap to fifth.
Adli spoke to DAZN after the game and Ambrosini was part of the panel covering the game. Before answering a question, he said: “I love you Ambro, for the man you are and the player you were.”
The admiration was reciprocated by the former Milan player in the subsequent response. The Rossoneri number 7 expressed himself as follows on his improvements in the defensive phase: “I’m working hard on this phase. I don’t think I have a top defensive phase but I’m working on it.”
