Francesco Camarda has had a cracking start to life at Lecce, shining in pre-season, and yesterday he got his first goal contribution in a competitive game. In quite some fashion as well.
Milan agreed to send Camarda out on loan to Lecce for the season, including a buy-out and a buy-back clause in the deal. This is something we covered in one of our long reads on Substack, explaining why the clubs opted for that solution.

After a very good pre-season with his new side, finding the back of the net several times, Camarda bagged his first competitive goal contribution last night. In the Coppa Italia preliminaries, which Milan will enter tomorrow, he helped seal the deal against Juve Stabia with a nice assist (1:30 in video).
As fate would have it, if Milan were to beat Bari tomorrow, then they will be up against Camarda and Lecce in the next round. That game will be played at the end of September, so we will have to wait a little for it, but it would probably be very exciting for the 17-year-old.
Another interesting thing to note is that Juve Stabia are coached by Ignazio Abate, who obviously helped Camarda a lot during his time in charge of Milan’s Primavera side.
Good for him, keep going and come back in a year or two.

a striker who can give assist is rare tbh, it’s showing the level of maturity of the player whether to selfishly trying to score or give it to his teammate with better position.. and he’s already start scoring in the pre-season btw.. time will tell.
