Watch: Camarda scores delightful goal in U17 Euro Final to make it 2-0

There can be no doubts about Francesco Camarda’s talent, and his most recent goal is another display of why AC Milan must finalise his contract shortly. 

Milan’s Primavera consists of several young stars, and the one that shines brightest is Camarda, just when you think his talent is at a ridiculous level for his age, he does something to rethink that, and Italy’s second goal against Portugal in the 2024 Under 17 European Championship is another fine example.

Looking at the goal itself, it is a great example of how to counter-attack, as the Azzurrini progressed from defence to attack within seconds, but the goal is made by Camarda. A defence-splitting pass from Cristian Cama was received by Camarda, whose movement caused the initial split, and he drove down the left-hand side and into the penalty box.

After taking it past two defenders, the second of which he dummied a shot, before releasing a venomous shot into the near post that the goalkeeper could not prevent going into the back of the net.

The goal is his third of the competition and another sign of how good Camarda can be, and Milan fans will likely be watching that goal for some time on repeat, especially given the news that his renewal could be imminent.
