Luka Jovic opened the scoring, and then added a second, for AC Milan in the Coppa Italia clash against Cagliari earlier this evening. The Serbian was picked out by Theo Hernandez for both of the goals.
Jovic has been in red-hot form lately, now with five goals in his last six appearances, and the first goal tonight was really a great one. Theo Hernandez was the protagonist of the move, though, finding the striker with a great cross.
It looked like Jovic had missed his chance, opting to bring the ball down rather than shoot first time, but he quickly recovered his balance and found the back of the net with a great strike. An important goal for a makeshift Milan.
👊 Another goal for Jovic

Shortly thereafter, more specifically in the 42nd minute, Hernandez made the most of a Cagliari mistake as he picked up the ball in the middle of the pitch. He then went on a trademark solo run, before setting up Jovic who got a bit lucky with the finish (but nevertheless scored).

Keep in up man Jovic. You were not Milan target, but you proving your worth by reading the game well and being at the right places to make the most of your chances. 10 goal contribution is my target for you and I strongly believe you can achieve that. Be the next big thing for Milan. We love you. Milan need a striker to rely on the long term.
10? I think he’ll go for 15.
Break the record Jovic guy, go for the double, at most 18
