Rafael Leao goal Portugal-Poland

Watch: Leao starts goal fest for Portugal with great header and run vs. Poland

Rafael Leao got on the scoresheet in Portugal’s 5-1 trashing of Poland last night, showcasing his abilities throughout the game in the best way possible.

Leao has certainly been in tremendous form over the last few weeks, bagging an assist against Real Madrid – after a great performance – and scoring a brace against Cagliari. Yesterday, he followed that up with a very nice goal for Portugal.

Playing from start in the penultimate Nations League clash, Leao opened the scoring in the 59th minute after a great run and header. In addition to this, he played really well and finally showcased what he’s capable of with the national team as well.

Seeing as Leao’s goal opened the scoring in the 59th minute, it’s rather crazy that the game ended 5-1. A goal fest in the second half, to say the least, and it’s even better that the Milan winger was the one to open the floodgates.

Milan will be up against Juventus next and will need their No.10 in great form to clinch the three points. If the last few games are anything to go by, Paulo Fonseca should be rather confident in the winger’s abilities.

  1. Probably the first time i saw rafa score with his head..

Poland closed the space like amateurs on this run tho. He’d never get that much space in Italy.

    1. Be it Italy, France or England at least for once give the guy the credit he deserves. He’s a great player just like Mbappe and Vini jnr he also has his bad and good days.

      1. There is no question that Leao is great when he plays up to his best but you simply can’t disregard the fact that its also under all critique to let a player wander through like he did leading up to the goal. I can’t speak for foreign odds on the match but the Danish odds for a Polish away win was like ten times back the money invested which should make it even more clear that Poland really isn’t the opposition they were 5-10 years ago.

      2. I won’t give credit to players who score a goal when the defense literally allows them to walk/run to the goal.

The defensive action was rubbish and leao does have quality to take advantage of it.

But don’t compare him to vini or mbappe. He isn’t even on half of that lvl.
When was leao nominated for balloon dor?
        Never.
        Why?
        You know why.

          1. What is a hater anyway?
You kids nowadays all you know is ‘you’re just a hater’

            If I’m not.oll on my knees sucking leao 🐓 I’m a hater.

Fine I’ll be your hater and you and that m*r*n lugi be fags

        1. When? Never??? Say what??? In 2022. Look it up. He was nominated that year for the Ballon d’Or. He finished as the 14th best player in the world. But of course, in your hatred, you either ignore it, or you pretend that it didn’t happen.

It’s like your buddy bb who said that Leão has been playing poorly for Portugal, ignoring that the last international break he was voted MOTM by the leading Portuguese football newspaper A Bola and his performance was called “magical.” Bagged an assist. This time he bagged a great goal and is being praised again.

But hey, he is LAAAAAAAAZY right?

We know that your memory is “faulty” when the topic is Rafa. You say you don’t remember him ever scoring a header. Refer to the Lecce game in April 2023, five minutes before the halftime break. Tonali’s assist.

        2. Sure, sure, do the profanity-laden personal attack like you did in your answer to Federico (managed to attack me too in that answer)! It’s the hallmark of someone who is losing an argument, and it shows how immature you are.

It’s so easy to contradict you… LOL. You make it easy for those who counter your lies. You issued two today, that Leão was never nominated for the Ballon D’Or (he was, in 2022) and that he never scored a header (he did, against Lecce in April 2023).

See what A Bola, after calling Leão MOTM and “magical” in the last international date, said of him this time (translated from Portuguese into Italian):

“Era già stato decisivo a Varsavia e lo è stato anche ieri. È stato lui il migliore del (brutto) primo tempo e ha sbloccato la partita.”

  2. Leao shines again! 🌟🔥 Opens scoring for Portugal with a brilliant run and header in their 5-1 win. 🇵🇹⚽ Milan fans, he’s ready for Juve! 💪🔴⚫ #ForzaLeaol?

  3. LOL, Flyingturtle is losing it. Another profanity-laden personal attack. Whoa, he seems really irritated! Is it because we caught him lying twice, in this very thread? Or is it because Leão scored again?

It’s concerning… given that Leão is in great form and will likely continue to shine, I’m afraid we’ll have to contact the authorities for a well check and for placing Flyingturtle into a suicide watch. Hey, I’m just trying to help. Be safe, Flyingturtle! No need to lose your life over this!
