AC Milan were left to thank Mike Maignan for bailing them out of a difficult situation midway through the first half of their game against Sassuolo as he produced a penalty save.
It was Sassuolo who got the chance to take the lead from the penalty spot though in the 22nd minute. Berardi went down in between challenges from Florenzi and Saelemaekers, and it was the winger who took the responsibility, but Mike Maignan was equal to the attempt with a diving parry to his right.

Why start with Pobega and Diaz when we know that after an hour of disaster we will just bring on Tonali and CDKā¦.our lack of a striker worries the hell out of meā¦.

Fkn joke, this is absolutely pioli’s fault, you always know that Diaz and Saladmaker aren’t going to create anything and by the 60th minute it will force your hand to sub in CDK and co, so why not start the whole good team at the start so we lead and THEN substitute and rest for gods sake instead of Sassuolo fkn parking the bus. Still love Pioli but this was his fault for the most part imo

If Mike had not caught that ball, we would have substituted earlier and probably won.
Leao seems overrated.
Diaz is increasingly useless.
He parried it, not caught it. We had 30 minutes after subtitution yet failed to score a goal. What make you think we could score 2 goals in 45 minutes to make comeback if we condeded that penalty?
