Watch: Pobega admits ‘something was missing’ and looks ahead to Napoli clash

By Isak Möller -

Tommaso Pobega played from start in AC Milan’s 0-0 draw against Empoli and he was disappointed with the result. Speaking to the media, he admitted that the Rossoneri lacked something in the game.

The midfielder made his first appearance since the first leg against Tottenham and although he started the game well, he faded a bit too much in the second half.

Speaking to MilanTV (see video below), Pobega shared his thoughts on various topics.

On the draw…

“Our energy and our intensity were suited to the game, but it’s clear that something was missing otherwise we would not have drawn. We have to analyse the aspects of our game that can be improved.

On tactics…

“A big chunk of our defensive work relies on intensity in duels and 1v1s. When we have that we win the ball back high up the pitch, play better and are also more proactive. It’s a vital part.

On Napoli…

“We will prepare for the Napoli game like with all the other big games. We will study where we can raise our game in order to hurt them, and also what we need to do to play to our strengths.
