AC Milan kicked off their preseason campaign the right way as they beat amateur side Lemine Almenno 3-0 at Milanello this afternoon.
The game was split into three 20-minute periods rather than being two halves of 45 minutes, owing to the fact that the Rossoneri are not far into their preparations and also the temperature was comfortably above 30 degrees celsius.
The first goal of preseason came from Junior Messias, as some good pressure saw the away side give the ball away deep in their own half, with Tommaso Pobega finding Yacine Adli who slotted it to the Brazilian winger. He then took a touch, checked onto his left foot and finished.
The second goal was pure power from Ante Rebic, with the Croatian winger seizing possession over 20 yards out before unleashing a fierce shot with his right foot inside the left post.
Matteo Gabbia then got in on the act with the last action of the first 20 minutes. A corner wasn’t dealt with and the ball ricocheted into his path, as the centre-back steadied himself before poking home. Three-nil, and a job well done.
So Yacine is the new 7 eh?
