Why Milan Futuro’s Serie C clash against Torres has been postponed

By Isak Möller -

Milan Futuro were initially scheduled to take on Torres Calcio this evening but as was announced by the latter at the start of this week, the clash has been postponed. The reason for that has to do with the international break.

Unlike Serie A and Serie B, Serie C doesn’t stop during the international breaks and this can cause problems for some teams. Therefore, the regulations provide for games to be postponed if three or more players are missing due to international duty.

As confirmed by Torres on Monday, this is exactly what has happened with the game against Milan Futuro. Indeed, the likes of Davide Bartesaghi, Francesco Camarda, Hugo Cuenca, Mattia Liberali, Vittorio Magni, Noah Raveyre, Diego Sia and Kevin Zeroli are all unavailable.

The new date for the game is September 18 with the same kick-off time (20:45 CEST), and it will thus be a mid-week clash. So far, Daniele Bonera’s have clinched one point after losing the first game and drawing the second. They are still on the hunt for the first win, in other words.
