Sky: AC Milan in search of new left-back as Rodriguez-Fenerbahce unlocks

In addition to bringing in some new players, AC Milan are also looking to part ways with some outcasts this month. After selling Borini, Caldara and Reina, Rodriguez is also set to leave the club.

As Sky Italia’s Luca Marchetti reports (via MilanNews.it), the Swiss international has made Fenerbahce his top priority. However, in recent days the negotiations hit a stalemate as the Turkish club are struggling with Financial Fair Play.

By the looks of it, per the report, the transfer is unlocking and the defender should complete his move to Turkey. Therefore, Milan will look to bring in a new left-back this month, that can act as a backup for Hernandez.

It remains to be seen when Rodriguez’ departure will be announced, although judging by these new reports, it shouldn’t be too long. As Hernandez is untouchable on the left flank, the former Wolfsburg man has been expected to leave ever since the window opened.
