An interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport’s programme ‘Sportweek’ is set to be released on Saturday, and an extract has been revealed during with the Spaniard has admitted some interesting things about his time at the club.

“I really like it at Milan. I could have left for two years in a row and I didn’t,” he said (via MilanNews.it).

“I stayed here because I wanted to. I cost zero: considering this, I think my performance at Milan was very good. To the fans I say: trust me.

“The fans have the right to whistle, because neither I nor the team are doing well, but I am also convinced that I don’t have to prove anything.

“People know what I can do. If they criticise me, it’s because they expect me to do even more and they know that I can do it.”
