Watchalong Milan-Verona 2025

AC Milan 1-0 Hellas Verona: SempreMilan watchalong and live commentary

AC Milan and Hellas Verona are squaring up at San Siro this evening, with the Rossoneri desperate for three points to stay alive in the top-four race. Join us for the watchalong with Lorenzo as well as the live commentary.

Sergio Conceicao has switched things up with the starting eleven, giving Riccardo Sottil his full debut among other things, and it remains to be seen what the outcome will be. Stars like Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao are both on the bench, getting some rest ahead of the Feyenoord return.

You can follow the action with our watchalong on YouTube, hosted by Lorenzo this time out, or you can make use of our live commentary on X. Hopefully, we will have a win to celebrate later this evening, and preferably after a good performance it must be said.

    1. A few “almost” moments, but overall they make everything look difficult. Sure, Verona is hacking everyone down, but the players are staring to predict contact and go down too easy. Verona is winning the mental battle for sure.

  1. So boring. We play very slow in general. But Musah is exceptionaly slow. Needs like 10 touches before he can pass. Better play Teraciano there or just switch to wingers with Sotil and Felix on the sides.

  2. Musah has no football IQ. My mother would have scored that goal. The goalie was moving fast to the goalie’s left side; Musah just needed a low and soft tap in to the goalie’s right and it would have been a score. Pulisic would have absolutely scored there. That was the absolute definition of a sitter. You just can’t miss that.

Sottil and Musah have been completely ineffective wingers; Gimenez is getting no service. The two passes Gimenez received, he almost produced a goal and an assist.

Hopefully either Puli or Rafa come in and do a better job assisting Jimenez.

Reijnders and Félix almost scored but the goalie produced good saves. Thiaw missed the ball twice in what could have been good headers.

So we had 5 chances but didn’t get anything out of them, and again we lack intensity in first half.

    Sigh…

@Rossi – never say “better play Terracciano.” He is one of our three worst players, together with Origi and Emerson. He is completely clueless and doesn’t play well in ANY position.

      1. not everyone…but definitely not a great winger right now…but i dont think hes being played there to become one, just to improve other parts of his game like Pep playing CBs as full backs and midfielders…hes already high level 1v1 defending and scanning in the middle of the pitch…

  3. I meant “assisting Gimenez” with a G, not a J.

I really hope Conceição yanks out Musah for the second half before he blows it again and gets a second yellow. He’s been completely useless and has wasted all balls that came his way including an incredible sitter. Worst player tonight.

    Sottil has been lousy too.

    1. really glad he didn’t yank musah but move him behind leao…allowed leao to mess around and lose the ball but win it back quickly eventually leading to a goal…not a great winger…but high iq midfielder…best defense is not having to make a tackle right…

  4. The guy in the fan block with the microphone is so annoying. You often only hear him and he can only sing badly. It just annoys. Better no singing than this !!

  5. Finally. Assist Rafa, goal Gimenez.

By the way that was Rafa’s 16th goal participation this season (goals + assists), for those who say he is useless.

And he’s been playing with an ankle injury (which not many fans know about; but it’s been reported by Conceição and some journalists.

  6. Rafa with the highest number of assists in the last 5 Serie A seasons of all Serie A players.

That’s the guy some idiots want to sell.

    1. The problem is he’s useful for about 3min per match. Look at everything else before that moment. Misplaced passed, terrible touches, he needs to be able to find that motivation for a full match every week

      1. I couldn’t care less. As long as he plays 3 minutes but produces goals, and he does about 30 per season, he’s done his part.

See, without his assist we’d have dropped 2 points.

        1. You not caring is the mindset of a loser, buddy. That’s just facts. If you settle for average, you get average. Not UCL, not Scudetto, Average mid table mentality. Grow up and demand better

  7. Average? A player who produces regularly 30 goal participations per season, always placing among the top 3 of all Serie A players in goal participations per season, is average??? LOL.

You need to go back to school to understand what an average is. Top 3 of 600+ players is not average. That’s actually the percentile 99.5. Average is percentile 50. Get informed.

Yes, I couldn’t care less if a player does little for most of a match but then produces essential goals that earn us 3 points (by the way, that’s how a certain Lionel Messi has operated for most of his career; not very dynamic, not running around, not tracking back, disappearing for long stretches but then producing essential goals). That’s what a forward is for. In this sport, it’s the number of goals that count.

And who do you think you are to tell me to “grow up”???
