Agent of Gerard Deulofeu reveals AC Milan return unlikely

By SempreMilan -

The agent of Gerard Deulofeu has revealed that it would be difficult for AC Milan to resign the Everton ace, according to report from Tuttomercatoweb.

Deulofeu has been heavily linked with a return to the San Siro after spending half a season on loan with the Rossoneri last term.

However, his agent Gines Carvajal does not believe a deal will be likely, stating that the 21-year-old’s future will be decided by either the Toffees or Barcelona, who has a buy-back clause on the Spain international.

“The player’s feeling very good at the moment, no doubt. He’is very happy and he’s now focusing on the European Under-21 Championship,” he said.

“News on his future? I can’t say, it’s not up to me. Everton and Barcelona are the two clubs that will decide on lad’s future. A prediction? I honestly don’t know, we just have to wait. Not returning to Milan? I’d say so, it’s very difficult.”

During his Milan loan spell Deulofeu was a key player on the flanks, making 18 appearances, scoring four goals and providing 3 assists in all competitions.

His improbable return will therefore see Milan manager Vicenzo Montella keen on signing a replacement winger this summer, with Lazio star Keita Balde Diao and Juventus’ Juan Cuadrado rumored to be transfer targets for the former Fiorentina gaffer.
