The agent of Lucas Biglia has confirmed that his client would consider a move to Fiorentina, if their interest is genuine.
Recent reports have suggested that new Milan boss Marco Giampaolo is not keen on the idea of playing the former Lazio man as a holding midfielder in his system.
The strong links with Lucas Torreira in the last week have fuelled speculation that Biglia could depart soon, and now his agent Enzo Montepaone has offered an update on his current situation.
“Right now I’m in Argentina, but something can happen in the next few weeks,” he told Calciomercato.com.
“Until now, no one from Fiorentina has called me. I read about their interest and I can’t deny that it’s nice. Montella is a great coach.
“But right now, Lucas has a contract with Milan and therefore it would not be a simple thing. However, in football, never say never.”
Boca Juniors reportedly made an attempt to sign Biglia but the Rossoneri rejected the approach, most likely waiting to see Giampaolo’s plans.
The 33-year-old made 19 appearances in all competitions for the Rossoneri in an injury-plagued 2018-19 season.
