Agent of Fiorentina captain reveals Milan had offer rejected: “Let’s see what will happen”

It’s no secret that Milan are looking for a centre-back in these final days of the transfer window. They lack a lot of depth in that position and this has become painfully clear at the start of this season.

The Rossoneri have been linked with many players in the last few weeks, especially Nikola Milenkovic. However, another Fiorentina star has also been considered, namely German Pezzella who captains the Tuscan side.

The 29-year-old would be significantly cheaper than his partner at the back, but the price is still too high for Milan. In an interview with Radio Köln (via Milanlive.it), the player’s agent Martin Guastadisegno confirmed the interest.

“If important proposals arrive, they will be evaluated. Ten days ago, Milan presented an offer that German could not evaluate because Fiorentina decided not to sell him. The transfer market ends only on Monday, let’s see what will happen, several teams are interested,” he stated.

It seems, therefore, that Pezzella could still leave Florence and it remains to be seen if Milan will make a new attempt to sign him. One way or another, they will bring in a centre-back before the window closes.
