Bacca: “I am happy at AC Milan and want to stay here”

By Nikita Fesyukov -

Carlos Bacca looks set to stay at AC Milan, despite receiving a rich offer from Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian, lead by former Italy international Fabio Cannavaro.

Yesterday Sky Italia reported that Tianjin offered €30 million to Milan for the services of the Colombian and €12 million per year for the club’s top scorer so far this season.

However, in an interview with Milan TV Bacca has expressed his desire to remain with the Rossoneri and is ready to fight for a European spot for next season.

“From the first day when Galliani called me to come to Milan I did not think twice. I was happy at Sevilla, but when the call arrived, I was very pleased,” Bacca told the club’s official TV station.

“Even now I am still happy here. I am 100% in the center of Milan’s project. The management and the coach give me confidence.

“I am not scoring a lot of goals now, but am working hard to change the situation. Europe? It’s the primary objective of the team as well as the management.

“How to refuse offers from China? It is possible with using your head and remaining down to earth. Money is not everything in life. First there is God and then my family. These are the most important things of all.

“My next goal to be dedicated to the fans? Hopefully. I’m working hard to score. The fans expect more from me and that’s why I’m working hard to give my all for this shirt.

“I’m glad and happy to be here and I want to give my everything in the next games. I want to qualify to Europe with this shirt, as I expect it to be very exciting. I work to achieve this and try to improve all the time,” Bacca concluded.
