Rafael Leao is still recovering from his muscle injury and it’s a race against time to have him ready for the Derby della Madonnina on Monday. According to a report, the winger will undergo several tests today.
Leao sustained an injury in the 1-0 win against Verona and has since been working hard to recover. He didn’t make it back for yesterday’s 2-1 win against Juventus, so the goal is now the Supercoppa Italiana final against Inter on Monday.
According to Luca Bianchin, Leao will be on the pitch today with the medical staff to determine how the recovery has gone so far. The goal will be to understand if he can play a few minutes in the second half against Inter, seeing as it’s a very important game.
It won’t be easy, as the journalist continues, but the derby is the derby and Milan will do everything to have him back. Alex Jimenez has been starting as the left-winger in the Portuguese international’s absence but yesterday’s display wasn’t great from him, which is understandable in many ways.
As said, the game is scheduled for Monday evening and will kick-off at 20:00 CET just like the semi-final. For Sergio Conceicao, lifting a trophy just one week after taking over the team would be very important.
Conceição should play 442 against Inter and going forward he should stick to this formation. It works. We used it to beat Inter and Real Madrid.
Move Pulisic to the LW and start Musah on the RW. With Abraham and Morata upfront.
The usual suspects in the midfield Reinjders and Fofana. In Defense I would rather the pairing of Gabbia and Thiaw.
Yes. Jimenez should be benched this time. Theo as times goes starts to recovering. Leao can be maybe used last 15 minutes or so…
