Bianchin: Tomori has ‘officially’ rejected offer from Spurs – he will stay at Milan

Fikayo Tomori was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham just 24 hours ago, but the defender has now officially turned down the move, according to a report. Indeed, he’s now fully focused on tomorrow’s derby.

Last night, reports suggested that Milan and Tottenham were in advanced talks over Tomori, with the English side keen on landing the centre-back. This morning, however, doubt crept in as it was reported that the player wasn’t convinced about the destination.

According to Luca Bianchin this evening, Tomori has now ‘officially’ turned down the offer from Tottenham. The Englishman wants to stay at Milan and is fully focused on the Derby della Madonnina against Inter tomorrow, in which he’s expected to play from start.

Milan and Spurs had reached an agreement on a transfer worth over €25m, as the journalist continues, but ultimately it wasn’t possible without the player’s go-ahead. The manager Sergio Conceicao has also made it very clear that he’s more than happy to keep the defender.

In the event of a transfer, a replacement would have been needed as Milan didn’t intend to use the proceeds for Santiago Gimenez’s transfer. With just a few days remaining, it’s clear that it would have been difficult to find a centre-back at a good price.

  1. I can understand keeping him for now as there’s no way this dysfunctional ownership will get bring in a replacement in time, but he needs to go in the summer. For 30mil, a lot more than he’s worth rn, we need to take it. He become a liability who just blames everyone else on the pitch for his mistakes, and gabbia and pav have been a far more effective pair

    1. Then who will replace the two you mentioned if injury occurs along the line or are over worked due too heavy schedule of matches to be played
Right move by the management for now

    2. Tomori is best our deffender. He dont need go anywere.Evry club must have 5 deffenders. We have 4 and Gabbia is not good for 1st team,so we need more one and not sell.Kalulu was mistake now we want make new one with Tomori

  2. We were sooooooooooo slow letting this guy go. This should have been done a year ago or over the summer. Now we will be lucky to receive 20ML. There is noway we renew him on a larger contract when he is already the top paid CB and playing average or awful for years.

  3. Interesting.
Are you telling me that you can’t sell a player unless he agrees to leave?
First Milan wanted to sell Tomori to Juventus and Tomori said 👎, then they tried to sell him to Tottenham and again Tomori says 👎.
But for a year and a half we are told that Tonali was sold against his will even though his transfer happened overnight in the middle of June. No need for convincing. It took motta weeks to convince Kalulu to accept Juventus. A check with large number is all it took to convince Tonali. I guess no one told Tonali that he could say no 👎, or he wanted to leave because he got offered a salary that he didn’t want to pass on? I have zero problems with Tonali going for the money, but some people try to convince themselves and others that Tonali would never leave Milan and he doesn’t care about money. Newcastle is known around Europe just because they have the richest owners in the sport. At least Hakan, Kessie and Donnarumma left Milan for inter, barca and psg. Newcastle have not won the title since 1927. It’s 2025. But, no, Tonali didn’t leave for money, only Donnarumma (or Dollarumma) did.
Good for Tomori though. He turned down 2 bigger clubs than Newcastle to stay at Milan.

      1. That’s what his agent explained in an interview. But some like to conveniently keep that little piece of information out. It doesn’t align with their narrative.

        1. I’ve heard some rumors (but I can’t say I fully trust them) that the management and his family really pressured him to accept the deal, some rumors said that they said to him that they really need the money, others rumors say that they threatened to bench him/not renew to him/….
In any case we will never know the circumstances behind his departure.

    1. Of course you can’t sell a player if he doesn’t want to leave. The club and the player signed contracts with each other, it’s up to them to honour those contracts. Only if both parties agree to terminate it (eg they want to sign another one with a different team and the club agrees to compensation for them doing so) can it be voided.

    2. The fact that Tonali still lives rent free in your mind even a year after leaving Milan clearly shows that for some weird reason you’re obsessed with him, specially since you’re resorting to lies and fabricated stories to push your narrative.

Everybody knows how and why he left, and if it was only up to him he wouldn’t leave Milan. Unfortunately Tomori is not the same as him, he’s not a Milanista and only looks after his own interests.

Anyways, do you live in Italy? Did Tonali have relations with your mom or wife or something? Nothing else comes to mind to explain such behavior.

      1. Rent fcking free hahaha 😂😂 dude wrote a whole diatribe. Hopefully his therapist told him to let it out and here we are lol. Otherwise inexplicable behavior.

    3. The more important thing is on how we used that Tonali’s money. Brought in 3 players to fill his position, only Tijani came out great (that too being a different characteristic than Sandro). Plus we also used the money for Chuk. Well sum it yourself.

I’m sure if we used that money effectively, the bitter taste of him leaving would be much less.

    4. If we dont sell kaka or tonali we might not in serie a right now. If every not so good player dont wanna leave us like origi and balo then we are doomed

      1. And if u watch newcastle now. Theyre beating all the top team in pl because of their midfield. And guess whos their unreplacable player in mf? Well the only thing is wrong with him is the 1 yr or lost because of that addiction that really save milan ass last year

  4. I like Tomori he is fast and he has passion. Give this guy a break our midfield was the main problem us conseeding so many goals last season

  5. Bit of a strange one to me that; he’d be perfect for Spurs’ system and currently is struggling to get in the Milan side. Still, if I lived in or around Milan, you’d have to have a very good offer to make me move too, so fair play to him.

  6. He is a former Chelsea player and grew up in their youth ranks so it’s difficult to not understand him as Tottenham is one of their biggest rivals around. Not to mention that Spurs rarely wins anything or for that matter regularly plays in cl and currently is close to the relegation zone.
I certainly wouldn’t accept such proposal either.

  7. Do not expect any trophies when you have Englishman defender.

And Milan has two now fml. Not to mention about the headless chicken Abraham

  8. I do not mind at all about him leaving. As it seems like his graphic haven’t increased since that last Scudetto season. But the timing maybe is not right as we’re currently lacking CBs. And whoever replace him will also need a significant adaptation period.

  9. Hate this fraud
Conceicao needs to be sacked too if he plays him over Gabbia tomorrow vs Inter as Sky is predicting

    1. Apparently Gabbia has a slight injury problem.

But you’re right, Lautaro is going to make a fool out of Tomori again.

  10. Milan is italian team and italia forever known as team with or produce all great defenders all of time but here we are an english man in our team, oh my gosh
