AC Milan are one of four teams that are keen on the idea of signing Thomas Meunier from Borussia Dortmund this summer, a report claims.
As has been reported by German sports tabloid Bild (via Calciomercato.com), there is a lot of interest in the Belgian right back who is destined to find a new club this summer.
The former Paris Saint-Germain defender is going to be out of contract at the end of next season which means that there is a desire from Dortmund to sell him this summer for a small transfer fee.
At 31 years old, he would be a signing for immediate impact rather than the future which may not be in line with the supposed transfer vision that Red Bird have. The other clubs involved in the fight are Napoli, Inter and Aston Villa from the Premier League.
With Davide Calabria and Alessandro Florenzi in the squad, there may not be space for Meunier.
Well they obviously used the old version of ChatGPT to generate this article
I’m genuinely hoping that we see some unknown young player no one has heard of get signed out of the blue. Because I’d know then that Moncada was doing some work in the background on unearthing some gems. But so far, Meunier excluded, it’s been pretty much the same targets or expensive wishful targets which then gets scrapped because they’re obviously too expensive….and we land back to the same targets right where we began (RLC, SMS). So then what was the point of dismissing M&M? (Rhetorical question…we all know why but …humor me)
I think we also need to realize that lot of the transfer rumors are just made up by websites for clickbait. So we shouldn’t be surprised when we sign someone who hasn’t even been linked with us.
What I don’t understand is why is it that we are always one of the 2/3 teams who are in the race to sign the players. In some cases, we are often seen leading the race but ultimately we don’t sign anyone.
It’s just agent/club using Milan name to increase commision/transfer fee.
He is belgian ffs, no more belgian, they are just not fit for pioli style of play
