The rumours linking Ralf Rangnick with AC Milan has created quite the stir at the club, as Ivan Gazidis contacted the German manager without telling Zvone Boban and Paolo Maldini (Read here).
As reported by the German outlet Bild, Rangnick remains a hot candidate for the position as manager and sporting director of the Rossoneri. In fact, the owners of the club are keen on bringing in the former RB Leipzig manager.
However, there would be no room left for Boban and Maldini, as Rangnick has already made it known that he wants to bring a handful of employees with him. Should he join Milan, therefore, the two directors could indeed be forced to leave.
It remains to be seen what effect this will have on the transfer market overall, but the most probable outcome is that everything would change, more or less. The Rossoneri are heading for the umpteenth revolution, is it worth it?
