Brescia president admits he must protect AC Milan target Tonali

Brescia chairman Massimo Cellino has about young Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali, linked with AC Milan.

Tonali has been performing this season in Serie B with Brescia, earning a first Italy call-up for the game against Portugal on November 17.

Having impressed in 21 League games in the second tier of Italian football, scoring twice and assisting as many, Tonali has attracted the interest of AC Milan, Juventus, Chelsea to name a few.

In an interview for Calciomercato.com, Massimo Cellino spoke about the youngster, saying he has a lot more pressure on him as of late.

“Tonali? I have to protect him, he is good, but he has so much pressure on him in recent times and I do not like it. He should not be content, but always try to improve. 

“The merits are for everyone, but I am especially happy with the young man.”

Tonali has revealed his love for the Rossoneri on multiple occasions, and has also compared himself to current coach Gennaro Gattuso.
