Calabria, Kjaer and Saelemaekers will undergo tests on Monday – the latest

AC Milan claimed all three points against Empoli last night thanks to a dramatic push in injury time. However, the success is currently in the shadow of the fact that the Rossoneri sustained three (!) new injuries during the clash.

After taking the lead through Ante Rebic in the 79th minute, Milan looked to have sealed the win until Nedim Bajrami converted a free-kick in the 92nd minute. Less than two minutes later, Fode Ballo-Toure scored the winner and Rafael Leao also got in on the party.

A win that, without a doubt, will help the confidence but it wasn’t all fun for Stefano Pioli last night. Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer and Alexis Saelemaekers all left with injuries and as confirmed by the club to us, they will be examined on Monday.

Calabria and Kjaer both suffered hamstring injuries, with the former looking more serious, and Saelemaekers suffered a sprain to his left knee. It remains to be seen what the recovery times are, but the injury crisis is now even worse.
