A few minutes ago, Mattia Caldara landed in Milan ahead of his transfer to AC Milan. On his way out of the airport, the defender answered some of the reporters’ questions.
“If I’m happy? Yes, I’m very happy to be here. I’ve spoken with Gattuso already.
“If I’ve spoken to my former Atalanta teammates at Milan (Kessie and Conti)? Yes, of course. My shirt number with Milan? I still have to think about that.
“To partner up with Romagnoli? It will be exciting for sure.”
Caldara will sign a five-year contract with AC Milan, worth roughly €2.5m per year. He’s expected to complete his medical today.
