CM: AC Milan chasing €35m Zenit star linked with Liverpool

AC Milan are still chasing former Roma and Empoli star Leandro Paredes, according to a report.

The Argentine midfielder moved to Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2017 for a fee of around €23million.

Following Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Atalanta, Gattuso addressed the media and hinted at a lack of experience in his squad.

“We can certainly give much more. We played a good first half but then fell asleep late on in the game,” he revealed.

“We are young but we are going to have to do much more in the near future that’s for sure.”

Gattuso and the Milan management see Paredes as a possible addition to the depth of the midfield, Calciomercato claims.

He would likely cost €30-35million if the Rossoneri were to make a January move for the 24-year-old, who has also been linked with Liverpool in the past. Since joining in 2017, Paredes has played in 36 games while scoring four goals for the Russian side.

Paredes spent four previous seasons in Serie A with Chievo, Roma, and Empoli playing in 72 matches and scoring six times in those four seasons.
