CM: Between Atalanta and Spurs – when Maignan will be back for Milan

By Isak Möller -

Mike Maignan has finally recovered from his calf injury and he has been able to take part in the group training at Milanello this week. As such, he could even make his comeback against Atalanta tomorrow.

The Frenchman has been in the pits since September and has subsequently missed a total of 23 games this season. After constantly suffering setbacks, the goalkeeper has now recovered and Milan fans are eager (but a little worried) to see him.

According to Calciomercato.com, Maignan will have a final test today (in training) to determine whether he will be able to start tomorrow or not. Most likely, we will hear from Stefano Pioli on the matter during his presser (14:30 CET today).

Ciprian Tatarusanu is having a good moment and it’s not impossible that Pioli could decide to field the Romanian regardless of the test results. On the other hand, it would be good to give Maignan some minutes ahead of the Tottenham clash.

Of course, Maignan could always make his comeback in the game against Fiorentina next weekend.
