CM: Man City manager Guardiola personally called Milan star’s agent – response was clear

By Isak Möller -

Theo Hernandez is currently taking part in the World Cup with France and he has been a key player for the team. The left-back is one of AC Milan’s big stars and he has attracted a lot of interest, including that of Man City.

Hernandez arrived from Real Madrid back in 2019 for a mere €20m, and Milan have technical director Paolo Maldini to thank for that. The club legend had a meeting with the player in Ibiza and managed to convince him to join the Rossoneri.

It has been a successful journey since and as reported by Calciomercato.com, Hernandez has attracted the interest of Man City and PSG lately. The former team’s manager, Pep Guardiola, even made a call to the player’s agent to express his admiration.

Hernandez decided to renew with Milan in February, though, as Guardiola’s admiration and the hefty contract offer failed to do the trick. The 25-year-old is very happy in Italy and has become a leader for the Rossoneri, now back at the top of European football after many years of struggle.

      1. It’s more about playing under and being coached by Guardiola, not as much about playing in the EPL. That’s why I said Pep’s system. The way ManCity plays under Guardola isn’t really EPL-like. Theo as an attacking full back would be even better under Pep especially with the Bernardo’s, De Bruyne’s giving him through balls, something that we rarely see from Bennacer and Tonali or any other Milan player.

I don’t know what you mean by EPL, never producer of champ. It produces champs every year and like to admit or not is the best league in the world by far.
It’s a lot harder to succeed in EPL than in todays serie A. There is a lot of competition within the squad in most EPL teams. It’s no coincidence that players that are back ups over there or even 3rd stringers come to serie A and are the stars of the Italian league . See Tomori, Giroud, Lukaku, Tammy Abraham, Anguissa, etc.
Lukaku was always considered a great talent in EPL. In his first 2 years in serie A, looked like top 3 striker in the world. He was unstoppable.

  1. Excelente! La Calidad física atlético de Theo. Él y Leao dan intimidación al rival. Ojalá Maldini se mueva por Joao Gomes del flamengo. Es tremendo jugador para el centro campo. Es el próximo Casemiro

  2. His going nowhere, one of the loyal players in the team. I will love maldin to compensate him with an increment and give #3 Jersey

  3. If Milan continue not to spend money for top class players, at one point onwards players like Theo would eventually want to leave.
Milan cannot rely only on young players that might shine in the future.

    1. Where’s the money to buy top class players Thomas, from your pocket?!

Milan doesn’t even have their own stadium and God knows when but you’re here talking so easily about them must buying top players lmao.

      1. Grande Silvio still had the San Siro but yet again he injected large amounts of cash to the team…You know why? Because he was (is) Milanisti! If there is no money wtf did we sell to Redbird? To wait 5 (at least) for the new stadium? Or for Cardinale to sell Milan Jerseys outside NY Yankees stadium..?

    1. To be in the top 3?
His team has won 4 out of the last 5 EPL titles. And it’s not like the rest of the top clubs in EPL spend less than City.
He has come up short in the UCL but he dominates the EPL.
And his teams play appealing football. It’s not Mourinho, Conte, Simeone park the bus

      1. So after spent a ton of arabs money buying expensive players and plays “appealing football” then why he can’t a single UCL trophy with City????
