CM: Dortmund launch €30m bid to sign pair of AC Milan targets from Juventus

By Oliver Fisher -

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly made a joint bid of €30million for a Juventus duo who have been linked with AC Milan.

As we reported last month, the Rossoneri leadership are in the market for experienced players in the upcoming transfer window following a dreadful start to the season.

On Thursday night Leggo (via MilanNews.it) claimed on Thursday that Milan have taken an interest in Emre Can, a player who is struggling for game time under Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport claimed that Mario Mandzukic is one of four alternatives that the Diavolo are considering in case Zlatan Ibrahimovic rejects their offer.

According to Calciomercato.com though, Milan face strong competition. The outlet claims that Dortmund have offered €30million to the Bianconeri for both players in a combined deal.

The Bundesliga side are apparently banking on the fact that Juve would not make a financial loss on the operation, plus the idea that offloading both players may be difficult with a lack of potential suitors.

There are a couple of obstacles though. Juve may choose to register Can in the squad for the Champions League last 16 having not done so for the group stages. In addition, the €30m may not be enough, as Dortmund may instead choose to offer a higher salary to tempt both players.
