AC Milan have lined up four potential alternatives should Zlatan Ibrahimovic say no to a return in January, according to a report.
As we revealed, Ibrahimovic is Milan’s main target for the January transfer window, with the club’s owners Elliott Management agreeing to add more experience to the squad in the upcoming window.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Wednesday that there is a small gap between the demands of Ibrahimovic and the offer on the table, while SportMediaset confirmed that a decision could arrive soon from the Swede.
As per Thursday’s edition of Tuttosport though – as cited by MilanNews.it – Milan do have several back-up plans just in case Ibrahimovic decides not to come back for another spell.
The paper claims that Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic is on the list, while Real Madrid pair Mariano Diaz and Luka Jovic are also potential targets.
Finally, Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud is also being considered, but Moise Kean is not on the list despite reports suggesting otherwise as Everton are not willing to let him leave.
