CM: Exit-bound Milan defender could reunite with manager at Sampdoria

By Isak Möller -

Andrea Conti is all set to leave AC Milan this summer as he’s not included in the plans of Stefano Pioli. With one week left of the transfer window, work is underway to find him a new club.

According to Calciomercato.com, today’s exclusion from the squad was yet another indication that Conti will indeed leave Milan this summer. After all, the Rossoneri wanted to part ways with him already in January.

Genoa and Sampdoria are both interested in the services of the right-back and tonight’s clash could be an opportunity for the Milan management to talk with either. At Sampdoria, manager Roberto D’Aversa would be delighted to reunite with Conti.

The 46-year-old was the manager of Parma during Conti’s loan spell there and although the latter didn’t impress a lot, he seemingly left a good impression. It remains to be seen if Milan can reach an agreement with the Genoa side before the window closes.
