CM: Galliani hoping to strike up Monza-Milan axis – five names on the table

Silvio Berlusconi and Monza will get a taste of Serie A once again having earned promotion back to the top flight, and an axis could be struck up with Milan.

Calciomercato.com report that their CEO and Milan icon Adriano Galliani will soon meet with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to understand which players are available could be suitable for Monza as they look to stay in the top flight.

Galliani really likes Junior Messias, but the Rossoneri management are currently inclined towards buying him permanently from Crotone. Then, there are four other players that could be of interest: young striker Lorenzo Colombo, Daniel Maldini, Mattia Caldara and Matteo Gabbia.

Given Berlusconi and Galliani’s links to Milan it was always likely that an axis could be struck up, and one that might well benefit the Diavolo if they can send some young players there on loan to gain Serie A experience.

  1. Milan has had a cooporation with monza previously and as its 10 km or something away from milan its an ideal club to loan out youngsters to mature while generallly speaking still close to their family.
When parma was relegated to serie d i wanted us to make an allegiance with the club to both help the club back on track while we could have talents developed.
When monza was bought by silvio i wanted us to do the same, never happened but guess its better late than never.

  2. He can have them all.
He already has Brescianini who rarely plays.
Milan Primavera players are not good.
They got relegated couple years ago and they barely stayed up this year.
Use any of them as counterparts in a deal for Bremer, Scamacca, Berrardi or whatever other player Milan is interested in from serie A

  3. Would be great to partner up with Monza. We can loan young boys and literally build up a school fighting in Serie A.
Berlusconi is a part of the rossoneri family.

  4. Milan definitely have to strike up some type of partnership with a smaller Serie A club to help with the development of our young players. However, I’m not so certain that Monza is the right team for such a collaboration, I honestly thought about Empoli but what do I know. Regardless though, the idea of such a project must be considered. If Milan wish to remain ahead of the curve, then there has to be an even more aggressive approach to our recruitment strategy for young talent and having a collaborator to help them get the necessary minutes so that they may improve is vital.
