CM: Ibrahimovic wants €6m per year to stay at Milan – Maldini to offer €4m

Despite all the rumours in recent months, Zlatan Ibrahimovic could stay at AC Milan for one more season. The Rossoneri’s decision to renew Stefano Pioli’s renewal has worked in favour of the big Swede.

According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Pioli has specifically asked CEO Ivan Gazidis to lock down Ibrahimovic for next season. The latter and Gigio Donnarumma are currently in Montecarlo to meet their agent, Mino Raiola.

Of course, they will discuss the future and there could be some developments already in the middle of next week. Ibrahimovic will be 39 years in October, but he has shown everyone that he still can make a difference on and off the pitch.

Between a boat ride and a bit of relaxation, the striker will take the time to reiterate what his economic demands are to Mino Raiola. ‘Ibracadabra’ is energised and convinced that Milan can’t ignore him.

The numbers are also in his favour: 7 goals and 4 assists in 16 games. That’s why he wants a one-year contract worth €6m, the same salary that Donnarumma earns on a yearly basis.

To find an agreement, the parties will have to meet in the middle. Milan and Paolo Maldini will soon make a first offer of around €4m per year, and it will be up to Mino Raiola to mediate between the parties.
