CM: Lazio want to accelerate Romagnoli agreement – the figures of their offer

By Isak Möller -

Alessio Romagnoli’s contract will expire at the end of the season and several clubs are interested in his services, including Lazio. The latter are now pushing for an agreement, a report claims.

The Milan captain has been in talks with the club over a renewal but the parties have been unable to reach an agreement thus far. He wants €3m plus bonuses, while Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have put €2.8m plus bonuses on the table.

As reported by Daniele Longo of, Lazio are very keen on signing Romagnoli (who’s a boyhood Lazio fan) and they want to accelerate an agreement to anticipate the competition of Juventus.

One of their current centre-back, Luiz Felipe, is expected to leave on a free and join Real Betis in the summer. He has been offered €3m per season and that’s the same amount Lazio have offered to Romagnoli (plus bonuses).

Given that Milan’s current offer is inferior, you can understand why Romagnoli is evaluating his future, especially since he’s a Lazio fan.

  1. I guess is not about money,it’s about principles on getting rid of raiola.fot this Milan are right.and the only reason why his agent is quiet,is the feeling romagnoli is not doing any better and lacks suitors.

  2. If he was any good, Mino would already be making sh*t up and linking him with ManUtd, PSG, Barcelona. He should take Lazio offer while it’s still on the table, he is on Lazio level anyway.

  3. I don’t believe the figures. No way Milan and Romagnoli can’t find a way to bridge 200k. I bet it’s more about other factors. I bet it has something to do with Romagnoli not want to be 3rd choice, which is fair for him to want.

  4. He has spent how many years at Milan now? He is inferior from TS33 after just 1 season. He never should have been given the arm band. I believe his ego is also at play. If he is honest with himself, he will realize Fikayo is better, so is Kjaer. 5-6m “just” because you wear the arm band is not a good negotiating tool. Mirabelli tried to offload all Raiola players but could not succeed,so if its done now, I’ll have no issues with it at all.
Tonalli dropped his wages by 400k, upped his performance, now there are rumors of a wage increase in the offing.
I can endure our “captain” going to Lazio, cos we got a better captain from them years ago!

  5. Romagnoli is not up to Milan’s standard and neither are a lot of other current players, Rebic, Salermaekers, Florenzi and several others, particularly Diaz. Zlatan is a shadow of his former self and should retire. Milan needs a high quality play maker who can pass the ball. It’s not enough to run when you can pass the ball over long distances. No one in the current team is capable of that, including Tonali
