AC Milan are working on several fronts ahead of what is expected to be an important summer window, with new owners possibly on the way. In addition to renewals, they are also focusing on signings.
Calciomercato.com have decided to take stock of the Rossoneri’s situation with regards to one agent, namely Jorge Mendes. The Portuguese super-agent is not only involved on the renewal front, but also the reinforcement one.
Rafael Leao is obviously the player Milan are working hard to renew. An agreement in principle at €4.5m plus bonuses per year was initially reached, but the situation is still locked. In the last few weeks, in fact, something has changed amid the court decision concerning Leao, Sporting and Lille.
Moving on, the Rossoneri are also accelerating a move for Renato Sanches to the club, having already tried in January. Sven Botman might not be the only arrival from Lille, therefore, and Mendes will be crucial to making that happen. Having said that, Juventus are also interested.
Finally, Marco Asensio has been linked with Milan recently. He recently switched agents to Mendes and that has changed everything. In addition to Milan, Arsenal and Tottenham are also interested. Real Madrid are not ready to give up, though, expected to raise their offer for a renewal (currently expires in 2023).
